4K resolution security footage In order to capture all the details, you need a security DVR that can handle recording high quality security footage. Thankfully, this DVR is capable of recording outstanding 4K resolution footage on all channels*. This resolution will provide you with richer detail and higher quality digital zooms. *8MP High Definition MPX cameras are required to take advantage of 8MP recording.
4K resolution is hereThis powerful DVR is capable of recording 4K video. This ensures the highest level of detail in your recordings when utilized with a 4K security camera. The higher pixel count (3840 × 2160 compared to 1920 x 1080) will not only provide you with a new level clarity, it will add an increased ability to zoom in on distant objects. It is important to note that this 4K security DVR works with all monitors - from 1080p ~ 4K. The additional resolution will simply be there just in case. So if an incident occurs, 4K resolution will offer the best chance to capture useful evidence.
Compatible with select 4K Ultra HD Active Deterrence Security camerasSecurity camera systems are becoming increasingly active when it comes to protecting your property. With this DVR, you get can add select Lorex 4K active deterrence security cameras to your system. These cameras have two ways to scare off would-be intruders. First, there is a super bright LED that can be customized to always be on, manually activated or triggered by motion. Second, there is a remote-triggered siren that is designed to stop trespassers right in their tracks.
Real-time 30FPS recording rate @ 1080p HD Choose to record 4K resolution at 7 frames per second (FPS) or record at a real-time 30 frames per second (FPS) rate at 1080p resolutions (see chart below). This high frame rate provides real-time motion, ensuring that you see all the action.
Remote viewing from your mobile with Lorex Cloud™Get set up in an instant and stay connected with the free Lorex Cloud app. Using Lorex Cloud™, you can quickly and easily view your security system remotely from your smartphone or tablet. There are no difficult port forwarding or other complicated network setups either. Simply download the free app, scan the QR code on the DVR and your cameras will appear for you to monitor or review. You can also program the app to send you motion-activated push notifications and email alerts with screenshot attachments straight to your phone to keep you connected to your property at all times.

Set the configurable grid to alert you when you have visitors at your door, cars in your driveway, or when the kids come home from school. Motion alerts are sent right to your smartphone or tablet in real-time so you can log in and check out the action.
Single cable camera connection Siamese BNC cabling is used to connect MPX security cameras*. This BNC cable provides both video and power transmission up to 300ft for an easy-to-install process that will have your surveillance system up and running in no time. If needed, MPX cameras can be installed further than 300ft away, but the camera will need to be plugged in directly to an electrical outlet. *When using 4K security cameras, this DVR should only be used with the supplied cable and power adapter that comes with the 4K camera, or an extension cable meeting the specifications listed in the Quick Setup Guide / Installation Guide. The use of any other power adapter or cabling will adversely affect performance.
See the details, hear the soundsNo extra connections are required for security cameras with microphones*. Audio is transmitted over the same coaxial BNC cable that connects the camera to the DVR. This means that you are free to add one of our MPX audio cameras to enhance your security monitoring to a whole new level. *Requires security cameras with listen-in audio functionality.

Different recording modesThis DVR has three different recording options to suit your needs. You can record footage continuously, during scheduled times, or when movement is detected. These options can be customized with each of your security cameras, which means you can have your most important camera recording all of the time while lower activity cameras can be programmed only to record on motion. To be safe, this DVR includes a pre-recording function that goes along with the motion recording option. This feature will go back to record the five seconds before the motion is detected, so you never have to worry about missing those first vital moments.
Automatic overwrite You don't have to worry about storage management with this DVR. It is designed to automatically overwrite the oldest data with the newest data when the hard drive becomes full. This means that you will never run out of storage space. Just make sure to save any important footage before it gets overwritten.
Automatic recovery after power failure An auto-recovery feature will automatically reboot your DVR once it regains power. This means that you don't have to do a thing - your system will simply start recording again within minutes. A Watch Dog function is also built-in to this DVR that continuously monitors the system for potential system errors. If it detects a critical error, Watch Dog will automatically reboot the system, which helps ensure system stability, keeps your cameras recording, and prevents future system failures.
